What I’ve been meaning to say: I don’t know if Jacques Cavallier Belletrud chose September to launch the first Louis Vuitton fragrance out of consideration for my birthday, but either way it seems a laudable decision. 🙂
Although the news is no longer news to me, I’m sure there will be the element of surprise, because I only know that they developed their own ingredients, including an extract from the iconic leather unpainted, as the house Vuitton signature.
Belletrud is the “nose” behind “L’Eau d’Issey” and “Poem” from Lancôme.
Born in Provence, he created the Louis Vuitton olfactory lab in the ancient building Les istoires Parfumees of Grasse, when he opened the perfume division 4 years ago.
If you want to surprise me for my birthday, I promise to pretend being shocked when you put the box in my hand 🙂
