It’s risky to assume that people will treat you the way you treat them.
Just like it’s risky to hope that people will remember you were there for them when their soul was crying.
Or that heads will appreciate that you confuse night and day when it comes to dead-lines.
That is the recipe for disappointment.
Expectations are poison to the soul.
Whether you realize it or not, the expectations we have of others are actually our projections on others.
You enter a relationship with an open heart and put your soul on a tray, give unconditionally for what your partner is, not for the way he meets the expectations and needs. Even if the rate to go limp in this film is great.
People come from different backgrounds, have different ways of thinking, are educated differently, react differently, feel differently and diversity can be constructive without the expectations, but embracing the acceptance.
All that comes is a bonus. We deserve nothing.
Either we seek fulfillment within ourselves, not the others, or we may as well buy a dog.
Seriously! The more I interact with people, the more I love animals…just sayin;)
