The fact that you are male, you have a thick voice, an impressive presence, and two thousand years of Daco-Roman tradition have explained to you how “a man must be a little bit more beautiful than hell” does not spare you the ridicule.

We are humans, we come in all the heights, weights, shapes and colors, and nothing of human being is alien to us. This is not an excuse for lack of hygiene, for dirty or wrinkled clothes, for eternally juggled worn jeans until the material is ripped. The fact that you are an active and modern man does not mean you have to neglect the attire. You do not have to be fancy as a duel, but a minimum of attention is necessary.

A proper masculine attire is harder to achieve than a feminine one when it comes to fashion style. And not because men are more inappropriate in choosing the wardrobe than women, in no way do we suggest that. But because they work with fewer items, which must be combined rather than saved by various accessories. If you’ve made the decision to start dressing better, you’ve certainly got along with your firm determination a huge wave of excitement and a little initial mistrust in your own forces, which can also be daunting. All you have to do is get out of your comfort zone, adopt a different way of thinking, and be willing to spend some more time in the morning choosing the dress.

It’s more important to look good every day than to  This is the genius of being a man. Here are some basic fashion rules and style tips every guy should know:

Make sure your clothes actually fit. Find that happy medium that’s right for your body. That means jeans shouldn’t be baggy, tucked-in dress shirts shouldn’t be voluminous, and T-shirts shouldn’t look like you’re wearing a tent.

When you find a shirt or pair of pants that fits well, buy two or more. Just find it in a different color, wash, or pattern. Remember, you have to wear clothes 365 days a year.
Don’t wear dad jeans. You have an ass, so find some jeans that show it. A pair of low-rise, slim-fit jeans will usually do the trick.
Try on clothes in the store before you buy them.
Spend the extra money to get your suits, shirts, and pants tailored. It’s more than worth it because you’ll look dapper and it’ll make your clothes look way more expensive than they actually are.
Small pleats on dress pants can give you added flexibility without compromising your look. But if the pleats are too big, your pants will balloon around your waist and make you look shorter.
If you’re tall and thin, buy clothes that match your length. If you’re shopping for extra length, shop at big and tall stores that sell extra-long clothes. Regular XXL clothes may give you the length you need, but they’ll also give you unneeded width, making your clothes look baggy.

Roll up the sleeves on your button ups and flannels. It doesn’t matter what your forearms look like. Exposing them makes you instantly more attractive.

Invest in shirts and sweaters. It’s an economical way to create different outfit combos.
A single nice blazer can revolutionize your wardrobe. A nice black or dark navy blazer made with quality material is a must-have. Dress it up with a button-up shirt, or dress it down with a T-shirt.
If you’re in the market for a suit, go for dark charcoal or navy blue. These two staples, which you can pair with a range of shirt and tie colors, will get you through all four seasons, and they’ll NEVER go out of style.
Gym clothes are for the gym. Period. Don’t wear your workout gear unless you’re going to the gym, at the gym, or on your way home from the gym. It’s that simple.
Embrace layering. Cardigans, sweaters, and blazers are classic pieces that’ll take your style up a notch.
It’s OK to love your blacks and blues and grays, but surprise people every now and then by mixing in some colors.
Fun prints are a great way to add color and personality to your wardrobe. If you pair them with simple, coordinating pieces.
Buy a few pieces every other season to keep your wardrobe up-to-date. This way, your wardrobe will look classic, but never out of style.
Shoes can make or break an outfit, so if you can only get one thing in your wardrobe right, let it be your shoes.
Athletic-inspired looks are big right now, but that doesn’t mean you should be wearing sneakers every time you step out.

Unless you’re headed to the gym, athletic shoes are a big no-no. However, feel free to rock a pair of New Balance or fashion sneakers every now and then.

Match your belt and shoes. Look classy as hell with a good-looking watch.
If it’s bright, say good-bye to the sports sunglasses you wore during college. Choose a classic pair.
Your tie should complement your shirt. A good rule of thumb is that the main color of the tie should contrast with your shirt, while a secondary color in the tie should match it.
A nice haircut can really improve a guy’s appearance, and nailing a good hairstyle is a gift from the style gods.
There’s no need to drown yourself in cologne when going out.
Trim your nose and ear hair, and get rid of that uni brow.

Hygiene. I will not detail the subject, because we still live in the 21st century and hygiene should be understandable. A few suggestions though: when it’s very hot outside, consider taking a deodorant with you. If you feel it is necessary, withdraw discretely to the bathroom and refresh yourself (water plus soap plus deodorant). Do not use strong or sweet perfumes, you will smell like a cock – not sexy. Do not wear a shirt more than a day – that’s it, men sweat more than women. Cut your nails and take care of your hands – your lover will thank you.

Your style says so much about who you are, and what you expect and look for in life. You can make changes today by the conscious choices in your appearance.
Consider the basic fashion rules and style tips every guy should know, be comfortable and be YOU!
